NATIONAL SUPPORT:
There are many excellent websites in the UK aimed at helping people with cancer, some relate specifically to breast cancer whilst others are broader but all will give vital information and support and many offer support and help in other languages.
Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancerbackup are merging in 2008. Cancerbackup is the UK's leading source of high quality information on cancer and Macmillan provides a full range of medical, practical, emotional and financial support for people affected by cancer. By joining together they will be able to reach out and help more people by improved telephone helpline support through an enchanced direct cancer information service with access to cancer information, nurses, nutritionists, financial, psychological and other experts. |
Macmillan Cancer Relief & Macmillan CancerLine

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care.
Cancer affects us all. We can all help. We are Macmillan Cancer Support .
The Macmillan CancerLine has enlisted the help of Language Line which can interpret 150 languages. Callers are linked to a Language Line interpreter in their preferred language and a three-way conversation allows Macmillan's trained staff to provide the caller with the help and information that they need. This includes answers to common questions relating to cancer, such as where to find a local support group, where to get information leaflets on cancer in other languages or how to get a Macmillan nurse.
